*Imago Advanced Training Course: Brilliant at the Basics*

This three-day advanced Imago training will count towards gaining your
'Advanced Clinician' status, for which you need to attend four advanced
courses.

During the 'Brilliant at the Basics' training, we will explore our beliefs
about therapy, couples, and their relationships. We will deepen your
understanding and ability to facilitate Imago form of therapy with your
clients.

We look forward to:

- Revisiting, reviewing, deepening and expanding the foundational theory
and clinical skills
- Learning how to stay attuned to the process, deepen the emotion
content of therapy sessions, and take couples on an exciting journey
- Exploring different ways of mirroring, validating and empathising that
are more attuned to your clients
- Discovering how to move beyond the mechanics of facilitation, towards
the artful and creative use of sentence stems, doubling, and focussing
- Practicing transforming the Parent-Child Dialogue from an
intra-psychic process to a truly relational and connectional one
- Learning when not to move forward with a Behaviour Change Request
Dialogue and what to do instead
- Deepening our understanding of the developmental stages of childhood
as they manifest in the therapeutic process
- Practicing the processes you haven’t used yet or may be neglecting
- Integrating the four “meta theories” of Imago with these deepening
tools, making the theory practical for everyday use with couples
